Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Preop/PACU team at Mount Carmel New Albany. The ideal candidate will have experience in critical care, emergency department, or PACU and be passionate about delivering high-quality patient care in a family-like atmosphere.
The Registered Nurse will provide care in an environment sensitive to each person's physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team, the RN will assess and evaluate patient care, develop and implement a plan of care, and promote evidence-based practice and quality initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring an environment of safety and promoting best practices.
- Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients, utilizing evidence-based practice.
- Collaborate with patients and families to develop and implement a plan of care that includes physical, spiritual, and educational components.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, keeping patients and families updated and informed.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and completely.
- Provide on-call coverage of the preop/PACU area and assume responsibility for care provided by other licensed and unlicensed caregivers.
Requirements:
- Graduate from a school of nursing.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
- Minimum 2 years of experience for Casual RNs; all new graduate nurses will participate in the Nurse Residency Program.
