Description : Position Purpose :
In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the System Educator, within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, functions within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of the organization. The System Educator will provide support to system education and practice initiatives including providing consultation and education to clinical colleagues regarding practice changes that directly impact care of patients at the bedside. Implementation and oversight of system based initiatives including patient care services policies and competencies, assistance with system based registered nurse orientation and facilitation of nurse residency seminars.
What You Will Do :
- Acts as a leader in monitoring, evaluating and helping to establish the standard of practice.
- Develops, implements and maintains policy organization system.
- Reviews, and revises standards of care, policies, procedures, practice guidelines, education courses, and protocols to reflect current evidence based practice and changing technology.
- Obtains feedback, problem solves and is a change agent for the organization; demonstrates extraordinary ability to perform the technical skills of the job; and prioritizes competing priorities.
- Collaborates in the design and improvement of system processes and identification and alignment of resources to ensure an efficient and culturally sensitive practice environment.
- Participates in monitoring, evaluating, reporting and improving standards of care.
- Promotes, participates in, or conducts on-going research in clinical practice.
