Position Purpose
The Vice President and Chief Operating Officer acts as the administrative portion of the leadership dyad of Health Partners. As such is responsible for the day-to-day administrative and financial operations of Mount Carmel Health Partners to ensure the operating and fiscal integrity of the organization as well as the responsibility for the implementation of goals and objectives; assuring the organization responds to changes within the market place, payor demands, and physician and hospital needs.

Minimum Requirements
- Education: Masters degree in business administration, health care administration, or related field.
- Significant health care related experience required preferably in the areas of physician organizations (CIN, PHO, IPA, or MSO), health care insurance, physician practice management, managed care contracting and contract management, professional medical organizations, peer review and credentialing and medical management and quality improvement.
- Adequate clinical knowledge and business experience to lead improvement in the health care delivery and payment systems addressing improved patient care and outcomes, reduced health care spending and improved reimbursement providers.
- Demonstrated budgeting, operational, financial analysis, and decision making capabilities.
- Demonstrated use of creative and facilitative leadership skills in building consensus, fostering strong relationships and decision making to achieve outcomes consistent with the goals of multiple constituencies.
- High degree of analytical ability and broad strategic system thinking with clear vision and direction and an understanding of legal and regulatory health care environment.
