Activity Aide

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Activity Aide to join our team in providing engaging and meaningful activities for our residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care and possess a strong ability to communicate effectively with residents and their families. This role is essential in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through recreational therapy, and event planning.

Responsibilities
- Organize and implement recreational activities assigned by the Activity Director tailored to the interests and abilities of residents.
- Assist residents with participation in activities, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Facilitate group activities that promote social interaction and cognitive engagement.
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress in activities.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff regarding activity schedules and resident preferences.
- Assist with one to one interventions as needed.

Requirements
- Previous experience in senior care or assisted living environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of memory care practices and dementia care techniques is a plus, however training is provided.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with residents, families, and team members.
- Compassionate attitude towards working with seniors and understanding their unique needs.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 per hour
