Mount Carmel Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, in Manchester, NH is looking for a full-time Activity Assistant to join our team, including every other weekend, required).
We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Activity Assistant to join our team. As a Activity Assistant , you will be responsible for providing engaging and meaningful activities for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with seniors and a desire to enhance their quality of life.

Assist in activities, that are, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual. These programs are in accordance with long-term care residents' assessment and care plan. Mount Carmel Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, in Manchester, NH is a 120-bed facility offering short and long-term care in a warm and supportive atmosphere where residents are cared for according to their individual needs. Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize and implement daily activities for residents
- Develop and maintain relationships with residents and their families
- Create and distribute monthly activity calendars
- Set up and clean up activity areas
- Ensure all equipment and supplies are available for activities
- Provide one-on-one interaction with residents who require special attention
- Encourage participation in activities and events
- Participate in care plan meetings
- Maintain accurate and complete records of resident participation in activities
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with seniors or in a long-term care setting preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
