The Mt Desert Island Hospital’s Construction Project Manager (Clerk of the Works) will be the daily coordinator for a large-scale renovation project at Mount Desert Island Hospital. This $43 million project, which includes expanding the Emergency Department, updating and renovating the Surgical Suite, and adding a dedicated main entrance, is not just a construction project. It's a commitment to the community. The position is crucial for ensuring the timeliness, efficiency, and seamless integration of construction activities within the hospital’s operational environment. Requirements
Education, Training or Certifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification is preferred.
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Cognitive Requirements:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Physical Demands:
- On-site at Mount Desert Island Hospital.
- Full-time, with the possibility of occasional evenings and weekends as project demands require.
