Summary:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate healthcare professionals to join our team. We have an opening for either a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or a Physician Assistant (PA). The successful candidates will provide primary healthcare services to patients of all ages, focusing on family and community health. The FNP and or PA will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.

Requirements
Education, Training or Certifications Required:
- Graduate of approved Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
- Physician Assistant certification for PA's.
- Certification in BLS, ACLS and PALS.
- Current Maine licensure.
- DEA certified.
- Maintains Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements as required for PA's and NP's.
- Credentialed as an active, affiliated Allied Health Professional of MDIHO.
Experience Required:
Must have at least two years of mid-level practitioner experience.
Special Requirements:
- Emotional maturity and good people skills required.
- Ability to work with distressed or anxious patients or family members required.
Cognitive Requirements:
- Ability to take in, process and apply clinical information in a wide variety of patient care situations.
- Ability to learn new techniques and incorporate them, through a new finding, into current practice.
- Ability to process and interpret complex information.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand/walk for up to eight hours per day, bend stoop, twist, assist patients in rising from exam table, push wheelchair patients, and assist patients in rising from and returning to wheelchair.
- Able to perform under stress.
