What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator of Summer Program - Extended School Year Services position at Mount Greylock Regional School District?
REPORTS TO: Director of Special Education Services
POSITION STATEMENT: The Coordinator of Summer Program works collaboratively with the Director of Special Education Services in planning, preparing, organizing and executing all aspects of the District’s extended school year services and summer programming.
Essential Functions:
- Works collaboratively with the Special Education Services department and the District’s Administrative leadership team to organize the extended school year programming and daily schedules to ensure that student’s needs are being met as outlined in individual education plans.
- Works to ensure staffing and transportation needs are sufficiently covered for the duration of summer programming.
- Communicates with families regarding ESY programming and services before the end of the school year.
- Ensures that student data, including student attendance, is organized and submitted to the Special Education services department as needed under the direction of the Director.
- Assumes responsibility for the management of all summer programs including but not limited to continuity of services, working to ensure the safety and security of students and staff by following District guidelines and procedures and ensuring all payroll-related activities are properly documented and submitted timely to the Business Office.
Education:
Master’s degree preferred. Bachelor’s degree required.
Holds a MA DESE certification in special education or related field.
Additional Job Requirements:
The summer program is typically 4-6 weeks in duration. The successful candidate must be able to commit to the full duration of the summer program assignment.
Compensation: The successful applicant will be paid a stipend in the amount of $15,000.
Salary : $15,000
