What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Teachers / Paras position at Mount Greylock Regional School District?
Mount Greylock Regional School District is seeking substitute teachers/paras for the 2024-2025 academic year. Substitute teachers are responsible for the continuity of instruction in the absence of the teacher of record. All per diem substitute teachers are called on an as needed basis. Sub assignments and duration of assignments will vary.
The District is looking to expand the sub lists for all grade levels and schools within the District. Please indicate any preference for a grade level or a particular school within your application:
- Lanesborough Elementary School (Grades PreK-6)
- Williamstown Elementary School (Grades PreK-6)
- Mount Greylock Regional School (Grades 7-12)
The current rate of pay for individuals completing daily substitute teacher or paraprofessional assignments varies based on the individuals level of education. Individuals with no college degree are paid at the rate of $120 per day. Individuals with a college degree are paid at the rate of $180 per day. Individuals who are MA DESE certified or retired former Massachusetts teachers are paid at the rate of $210 per day. Individuals who complete a substitute teacher assignment covering for the absence of the same permanent faculty member for a period of ten (10) days or more are paid at a long-term substitute rate of $260 per day.
