Mount Greylock Regional School is actively recruiting for a Kitchen/Cafeteria Assistant. The successful applicant will work Monday-Friday on school days from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM totaling 180 days. Additional work days will be determined by the Food Services Director for in-service training, off-site visits, or cleaning. This is a benefits eligible position and is part of the MGEA Cafeteria Workers collective bargaining unit.
Compensation will be commensurate to the experience of the selected applicant and will be an hourly rate between $17.10 to $22.06 per hour.
General Job responsibilities include:
- Maintaining the highest standards of safety and cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Preparing food according to a planned menu and uniform recipes and determining if end product is of best quality both in flavor and appearance before it is served.
- Serving students and staff during scheduled meal periods.
- Takes in money for food and beverage during meal periods if necessary.
- Assume responsibility for storage and disposal of unused foods.
- Assists in cleaning and storage of dishes, utensils, cafeteria equipment and food supplies. Cleans work and dining areas after lunch service has been completed.
-Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Food Services.
