Job Overview
Maintain the efficient operation of the Central Heating Plant, ensuring compliance with Massachusetts CMR522 Board of Boiler Rules. Monitor and control the plant's systems, including gas fuel consumption, steam generation, and domestic water usage.
Responsibilities
- Operate the plant in accordance with established protocols and regulations.
- Review and complete daily log readings to ensure accurate records and optimal plant efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including blowdowns, water sample collection, and equipment inspections.
- Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to address repairs and optimize system performance.
- Respond promptly to emergencies involving hazardous materials, electrical systems, and other critical infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Current Massachusetts Second Class Steam Engineer license.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in modern power plant operations, turbine generator maintenance, and boiler maintenance.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
