Duties
- Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and toileting, in accordance with resident needs and preferences.
- Assist with medication reminders if needed
- Support residents with memory care to promote independence and dignity.
- Offer direct support with activities of daily living (ADLs), including meal preparation and cleanup, laundry, and light housekeeping.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents
- Document resident care and interactions, as required.
- Collaborate with nurses and other care professionals to ensure comprehensive support.
- Assist with transportation to appointments , outings, and grocery shopping as needed.
Experience
- Prior experience as a personal assistant or caregiver is highly valued.
- A background in healthcare, such as nursing, is beneficial.
- Knowledge of ADLs and direct support techniques is helpful.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for interacting with clients and their families.
- A commitment to providing high-quality care and support is essential for success in this role.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.75 - $11.50 per hour
Expected hours: 10 per week
