We are currently seeking to hire a highly dedicated Student Service Support Team Member Long Term Substitute at High School beginning approximately April 28, 2025 through June 11, 2025 and September 2, 2025 through November 1, 2025. The preferred schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. However, we are open to flexible scheduling options for the right candidate. This may include working a few days per week or a portion of each day.

This team member must have an understanding of how to support high school students' mental health and well-being. Experience or training in the area of social work, counseling, school psychology, special education, or educational leadership are recommended.
This position will focus on supporting the mental health and well-being needs of students and staff while also supporting students with ATODA (both preventative and reactive work). What Your Day Will Look Like. The majority of your day will involve providing onsite, in person support to students in grades 9-12 and collaborating with the student services team at our high school. This collaboration revolves around issues such as mental health, homelessness, poverty, trauma, and ATODA concerns. Support to students involves engaging, interacting and building strong relationships with students and their families. This helps create a safe, respectful, equitable and inclusive environment while maximizing student learning potential and well-being. Connecting students and their families with resources within the community and county as needed. Participating in and leading initiatives related to Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, Restorative Practices, and Behavioral Coaching is also an important component of this Student Services team member's responsibilities.
Our Ideal Candidate.
Valid Educational license or ability to obtain (School Social Worker, School Counselor, School Psychologist, Special Education Teacher, or Educational Leadership)
Experience with the coordination of mental health services.
Knowledge, understanding and ability to utilize skills commensurate with the social work standards and ethics.
Interest in working with high school age students.
Bilingual applicants are preferred with the ability to understand and communicate with Spanish speaking students.
Passionate and engaging educators.
Demonstrated ability to build positive, nurturing relationships with all learners.
Ability to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
Collaborative and solution oriented mindsets.
Ability to be flexible and adaptable, especially during times of change.
