We are currently seeking to hire a highly dedicated Special Education Teacher (Cross Categorical) at the Middle School. Our Ideal Candidate
- Valid Wisconsin teaching license Special Education.
- Experience implementing modifications and developing plans so students with these disabilities are successful in the least restrictive environment
- Passionate and engaging educators.
- Demonstrates ability to build positive, nurturing relationships with all learners by setting learning expectations at students' readiness levels.
- Ability to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
- Collaborative and exceptional solutions-oriented mindsets.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable, especially during times of change.
- Demonstrates good communication skills, including ability to guide and supervise groups of students, maintain confidentiality, and work with students in a positive and motivational manner.
- Demonstrates proficient office skills with computers and software.
- Able to interact with others effectively, follow directions and initiate activities independently.
- Enjoy working with students and other staff members.
- Demonstrates and supports a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion
- First Aid / CPR and NVCI Certification
- Bilingual (Spanish) skills and abilities are a plus
