Description
The successful candidate should possess a sound knowledge of the sport, effective communication skills, a strong work ethic, a natural rapport with students, and the desire to excel and grow in the profession. The successful candidate must be available after school for practices and meets.
The track coach will be an active contributor to the Mount Horeb Area School District and adhere to the school district and conference by-laws. Please indicate your coaching experience in the online cover letter.
Qualifications
A successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate and possess :
- Preferred previous coaching experience
- A coaching and learning philosophy that includes thoughts on the role of athletics in an educational setting, winning and losing, competition, players, school, and community
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and preferred experience with coordinating track meets
- The ability to work diligently with the coaching staff to assist all student-athletes within the athletic program to maximize their academic as well as athletic potential
- Demonstrates a strong interest and commitment to the development of the student athlete physically, mentally, and as a leader
- Demonstrates and supports a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion
