VACANCY DESCRIPTION: Mount Horeb Christian School (MHCS) is seeking a candidate for the upcoming 2025-26 school year in our Elementary Kindergarten—first-grade combination class. Mount Horeb Christian School's 4K-8th grade campus includes four classrooms: K-1st, 2nd, 3rd-4th, and 5th-8th. The ideal candidate will prayerfully help students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christians to the praise and glory of God.

Mount Horeb Christian School (MHCS) was founded in 2019 to serve the town of Mount Horeb and the surrounding communities. In July 2023, MHCS officially became an independent Preschool-8th Grade school, and in 2024, we expanded our campus to include preschool programs. Our school provides a safe, caring, and Christ-centered environment for students in grades K-8 and 3K and 4K preschool programs. MHCS is proud to be one of six schools that make up Impact Christian Schools.

Mount Horeb is just fifteen minutes west of Madison, WI, and it offers a world of small-town charm and hospitality in each part of its community.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• The teacher shall be a mature, sincere Christ follower who feels called by God to the teaching profession.
• Must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Association of Christian School International (ACSI) teaching certification.

PREFERRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• ACSI Certified Teacher.
• State of Wisconsin certified Teacher.
• Three to five years of classroom teaching experience.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• Part-time salary – $37,612-$45,000, Depending on Experience (Prorated based on FTE)
• The position as an Elementary Teacher is 1.0 FTE
