What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential House Manager position at Mount Jubilee Ministries?
Job Brief: MJM has established a residential respite home to provide long-term and temporary care for adults with special needs (mild to moderate IDD) and to offer caregivers much-needed breaks. This innovative model addresses three primary challenges:
1. Providing on-demand, convenient access to trusted, certified caregivers.
2. Offering a third-party residence to maintain caregiver stability and privacy.
3. Having a space that facilitates a safe, fun, and memorable stay for clients.
The residential host is responsible for creating a safe and engaging culture & environment, built on the experience clients have come to expect from Mount Jubilee Ministries and His Path Day program.
Residential Host Responsibilities:
· Manage scheduling of guest(s) in primary respite room and alternate room (downstairs living room)
· Determine and follow a short-term needs assessment for guest
· Be present on site during entire time with guests; engage guests during waking hours
· Oversee purchasing and placement of supplies and groceries (Landlord provides an allowance)
· Prepare daily meals a day for guest(s) (2 per day)
· Oversee linens and cleaning of common areas, and guest room (Landlord arranges whole house deep clean monthly, as well as lawn care)
· Track maintenance items needed and coordinate with Landlord (Landlord will be responsible for maintenance)
· Acquire and maintain certifications and employment with Providers who are strategic affiliates of MJM (2nd Chance Services, TCS, Lindley)
· Plan activities suitable to guests
· Manage the overall environment of the household for all residents.
Report to MJM’s Program Director.
Compensation:
- Will receive a stipend toward monthly rent, up to 50% off the market rate.
- Will receive pay directly from Medicaid Service Providers, if guest does not bring their own support person (Community and Living Support Rates in the $16-18/hour range, and Respite in the $13-15 per hour range)
- Will receive a share of respite room rents after a minimum monthly threshold is reached.
- Total compensation could aggregate to $35,000 - 50,000 or higher based on Respite Room utilization rates.
