Position Information
Mount Marty University, a Catholic and Benedictine institution in the Liberal Arts tradition, seeks applications on a continuous basis for a pool of qualified adjunct faculty to teach on our Yankton, SD campus. The number of positions varies each semester, depending upon the needs of the University. Hiring units will consult the adjunct pool when there is a need. Teaching assignments may include day, evening, hybrid, and off-campus courses. Appointments may be renewable based on need, funding, and performance. High need courses include College Algebra, Geometry, Astronomy, Intro to Chemistry, Composition, Speech, social and behavioral science courses, business management courses, and student teacher supervision.
Salary: $730 per credit hour.
Required Qualifications
Minimum Higher Learning Commission requirements for qualified faculty: either a Master's degree in the area of specialization (content), or a Master's degree outside the area of specialization with 18 graduate credit hours in the area of specialization. Those interested must also be willing to support the mission of Mount Marty University and its Catholic and Benedictine values.
