Position Summary :
Mount Mary University is seeking an individual to join our community and contribute to the realization of our Mission as a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Communications, beginning in August 2025. Mount Mary's undergraduate population is one of the most diverse in Wisconsin. We are especially interested in candidates with experience teaching public speaking, public relations, advertising, integrated marketing communication, mediated communication, communication technology and innovation, small group communication, and / or interpersonal communication.
The faculty member will also have the opportunity to mentor undergraduate students and foster growth through advising, engaging students in research, and supervising internships.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Teach 12 credits per semester of undergraduate courses including both introductory and upper-level courses classes
- Teach at least one public speaking course each semester and coordinate curriculum and assessment across all sections of public speaking courses
- Advise and mentor communication majors and minors
- Assess student and program learning outcomes
- Develop and revise curriculum
- Provide service to the Communication program, the division, and the University.
- Engage in ongoing professional development.
