Primary Responsibilities
- Teach 12-credits per semester of courses in web development and graphic and visual design.
- Effectively teach students Figma, Adobe, and other necessary software to stay current in the field.
- Incorporate effective teaching and assessment practices across a range of course offerings.
- Mentor and advise students.
- Supports all technology programs offered by the division as directed by chair.
- Contribute to curriculum development and program assessment.
- Participate in program recruitment and marketing, internally and externally.
- Outstanding verbal, writing, and presentation skills; must be able to communicate and interact effectively with Mount Mary students, employees, and alumnae.
- Demonstrate commitment to promoting inclusiveness and cultural competence.
- Manifest a commitment to the mission of Mount Mary University.
- Serve on Faculty Assembly and University committees.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and activity (research, publications, presentations)
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in web design, user experience design, graphic design or related field. Must show evidence of design experience.
- Candidates with bachelor's degree and teaching experience may be considered if all other qualifications are met with distinction.
- Experience teaching diverse learners using inclusive practices is preferred.
- Knowledge and work with AI/VR/AR desired; willingness to work and train in AI required.
