Position Summary : Provide content tutoring primarily in the biological sciences to a diverse student population with varied academic needs.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Tutor students in the biology sequence, including cellular and molecular biology, ecological and evolutionary biology, anatomy, physiology, and microbiology
- Work with students in person and through online platforms
- Collaborate with faculty to incorporate course-specific learning outcomes during tutoring sessions
- Help students identify their own individual strengths and skills in order to make study plans, establish academic goals, and maximize the student's potential
- Participate in outreach activities and tutoring services
- Assist in the maintenance and evaluation of tutoring materials and services
- Collaborate as a team member of the Student Success Center (SSC)
- Perform other duties, responsibilities, or special projects as assigned
