POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Strategist serves as a strategic partner to operational leadership, focusing on the development and execution of marketing campaigns that drive clinical service line productivity and visibility. This role involves creating data-driven marketing plans, leveraging channels such as PR, digital, traditional, and multimedia platforms to meet business needs. This position will have strong knowledge of marketing strategy & communications in healthcare, while working in a cross-functional team environment. Additionally, this position will identify marketing opportunities, collaborate with internal teams and work independently to solve problems.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Preference will be given to graduates in Communications, Advertising, Marketing or a related field.
Experience:
· Five or more years’ experience in marketing and communications
· Experience with marketing strategy, planning and budgeting.
· Healthcare experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
· Strategic marketing skills and project management skills
· Strong writing skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Suite: Word; Excel; Power Point; collaboration tools such as Monday.com.
· Develops proficiency in MNH operational technology platforms.
· Ability to work creatively and collaboratively with a cross-functional team and all system departments and levels of the Health System, as well as the ability to work independently.
· Excellent command of English language; grammar, spelling, writing and editing skills.
· Excellent communication skills and ability to respond pleasantly, positively and calmly. Must learn Health System environment in timely manner
· Must display professional mannerism and appearance and conduct business in a professional and cordial manner that upholds the integrity and reputation of Mount Nittany Health.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Partner with operational leadership to understand the state-of-the-business for clinical service lines; identify marketing opportunities based on business needs
· Develop proactive, data-informed marketing strategies to support clinical service line productivity; leveraging a mix of marketing channels including internal, PR, digital, traditional and multimedia
· Collaborate with a cross-functional marketing and communications team to develop, launch, monitor and optimize marketing campaigns
· Support communication needs of clinical service lines including patient and provider communications
· Support media relations to secure news coverage for clinically-related topics
· Identify and write compelling patient and provider stories to support marketing campaigns
· Ensure successful physician onboarding including developing marketing plans to support provider ramp up for key providers or services
· Utilize data to plan target audiences, target geographies, key messaging, and measurable goals
· Track and measure marketing campaign success and ROI
