After School Teacher
As one of our teachers, you will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for school-age children (Kindergarten through fifth grade) to explore and learn. We have a busy after-school and summer camp program. We want to give families a safe and fun place for children to come to when their school day is done. This is a great job for someone looking to begin or continue a career in early childhood education! It's also great for high school or college students after classes.
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday from 2:00-6:00 pm
Friday from 1:00-6:00 pm
Full-time employment during the summer!
Key Duties Include:
- Care for children age 5-11
- Help with homework and reading
- Develop positive relationships with children and families
- Implement weekly lesson plans and activities
- Provide a developmentally appropriate and enriching classroom setting
- Maintain open communication with parents
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment
- Willing and able to follow all licensing rules and regulations
- Complete 20 hours of Early Childhood training per year
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be dependable, enjoy working with children, creative, and willing to learn.
- Available Monday-Friday 2:00-6:00
- Valid CPR/First Aid Certification (May be obtained after hire)
- Experience in Childcare is preferred
- Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Screening
- Must be able to lift, bend, sit, kneel, etc. for extended periods of time'
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
