Position : College Counselor
Reports To : Upper School Principal
FLSA Classification : Exempt

Responsibilities :
- Manages the college application process for senior students, including leading parent-student conferences, providing guidance for all aspects of the college search and selection process, and writing unique, advocacy-centered recommendation letters
- Plans and presents college counseling programming to parents and students (including but not limited to College Application Kickoff, regular Parent Universities, and the College Fair)
- Creates and submits materials to colleges supporting college applicants, including transcripts, references / recommendations, and scholarship awards.
- Schedules and hosts college visits to MPCS
- Reviews college essays for seniors when requested
- Provides academic guidance to all Juniors when creating their schedules for Senior year
- Represent MPCS at SACAC, NACAC, and ACCIS, and CESA
- Advises the upper school administrative team on higher education trends
- Attend MPCS upper school administrative meetings and other administrative duties as a signed
