Title: Community Connections Coordinator
Department: St. Johns Campus
Classification: Part Time, Hourly (20hrs/wk)
Start Date: August 1, 2024
Primary Functions:
To advance the vision and mission of Community Church by effectively supporting the ministry of Community Church at the St. Johns Campus by coordinating day to day operations of community life and providing support to the Campus Pastor.
Duties:
- Act as the primary recruiter and developer of volunteers in Sunday hospitality and groups ministry at the St. Johns Campus.
- Work with central ministry leaders to implement standards and best practices in Hospitality and Groups.
- Assist with the placement of those interested in joining groups and manage communication around placements with group leaders and Campus staff.
- Facilitate ongoing training and development for volunteers at the St. Johns campus.
- Manage the connections process including discovery and placement of people interested in serving, joining groups, or asking questions.
- Support the Campus Pastor in areas of planning, organization, administration.
- Manage and execute projects and initiatives on behalf of the Campus Pastor.
- Attend Community Church staff and/or department meetings as deemed necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Effective communication skills (oral and written).
- Excellent people management skills both with paid and volunteer staff.
- Detail oriented and exceptionally organized
- Proven track record of recruiting, equipping and retaining volunteer leaders (or equivalent).
- Experience in ministry in a medium to large church setting.
- Experience in a multi-site church setting is a plus.
- A self-motivated leader possessing relational skills with staff, volunteers and congregation.
- Basic proficiency with Presentation and Google Workspace software, i.e. Google Docs, Sheets, and ProPresenter.
- Basic proficiency with database software (Community Church to provide training).
- Undergraduate degree preferred.

- Champion unity in the church on every occasion, zero tolerance for gossip or the misuse of words and a thorough commitment to conflict resolution as detailed in Matthew 18.
