Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will support patients with daily activities, monitor their health status, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA. This position is essential for maintaining a safe and supportive environment for patients, particularly those in critical care settings such as hospice care and home care settings
Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff.
- Provide support to patients with behavioral health issues and dementia care needs.
- Help maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Assist in transporting patients within the facility as needed.
- Support nursing staff with administrative tasks in medical offices or inpatient settings.
- Ensure patient confidentiality by following HIPAA guidelines at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient service.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Experience in ICU, hospital medicine, or behavioral health settings is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience in home care or inpatient facilities is an advantage.
