Job Summary: The Crisis Counselor I provides clinical services to individuals in the community, crisis stabilization in the crisis care center, home, and community through mobile services. The role assists in developing program and treatment protocols for the crisis stabilization program.

- Provide crisis stabilization and short-term crisis counseling interventions to meet the needs of individuals and/or families in the community.
- Assist individuals with crisis resolution and general problem-solving.
- Develop effective individualized service plans for crisis stabilization.
- Respond to individuals receiving services, families, and representatives of multiple systems by providing and gathering necessary information.
- Interact with individuals and community partners to promote positive communication and collaboration.
- Meet productivity standards for services provided and document all required elements in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Ensure individual records are in compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
- Demonstrated knowledge of crisis intervention models and theories.
- Clinical competence in managing suicidal individuals.
- Understanding of psychotropic medications, drug overdose, and common medical complications.
- Ability to work as part of a clinical treatment team and cooperatively with emergency services.
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or other related human services field.
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
