Job Title: Adjunct Instructor of English
Reports To: Chair, Division of Humanities
Status: Contract, Part-Time, Exempt
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Humanities Division at Mount Saint Mary College seeks qualified individuals to teach courses in our first-year writing sequence (Fundamentals of Writing, College Writing, and Forms of Literature) for Fall 2024, with the possibility of extension to an ongoing basis. Writing intensive courses are capped at 15-20 students. These are in-person, daytime courses meeting two or three times per week during the traditional 15-week semester schedule (8/26-12/6).
Requirements
- A Master’s degree or higher is required in English or a related field.
- Previous teaching experience is preferred.
Compensation
- $2640 -$3120 per course
