The Mount Sinai Health System is currently seeking full-time Internal Medicine / Family Medicine Physicians to join its practice in Oceanside, NY.
Mount Sinai South Nassau (MSSN) is an award-winning, acute care, not-for-profit teaching hospital located in Oceanside, New York. Our dedicated staff serves the entire South Shore of Long Island, from the Rockaways in Queens to the Massapequas and beyond. We offer quality, compassionate care on our main campus in Oceanside, plus nine other satellite facilities in the region. Mount Sinai South Nassau, formerly known as South Nassau Communities Hospital before becoming part of the Mount Sinai Health Network, is one of the region’s largest hospitals, with 455 beds, more than 900 physicians and 3,500 employees.
Mount Sinai South Nassau is looking for a board certified Family Medicine Physician to serve as a core faculty member. Our residency program, sponsored by the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, is nearly 50 years old, with continued accreditation by the ACGME. The faculty physician will see patients about 20% of the time, precept / supervise students and residents 60% of the time, and have 20% of the time towards administrative, academic, and educational efforts associated with the residency program. The practice setting is mostly outpatient, with some inpatient activity in the well newborn nursery and occasionally / rarely in the Pediatrics unit (with excellent Pediatrics backup).
Position Description :
- Work in a large collegial multispecialty setting with almost every specialty including cardiology, neurology, urology, gastroenterology, orthopedics, pain management, allergy, radiology, and hematology / oncology.
- Serve a diverse population and live in a neighborhood with excellent school districts.
- Support Staff : Medical Assistants, Registered Nurses, PA’s, full service on-site imaging center with brand new Siemens MRI and PET CT, ultrasound, and on-site lab.
- EMR system : Epic.
- No teaching, research, or administrative responsibilities required.

Position Qualifications :
Compensation ranges from 180K to 275K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits) for Carle Place and Huntington.

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital / community need. The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits.
