The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with New York City H H Queens Hospital Center has an exciting opportunity for a Director of CPEP.
The Director of CPEP is responsible for the administration, planning, organizing and overall general management of the CPEP. The CPEP of New York City H H Queens is a high-volume psychiatric emergency room with over 5,000 patient visits per year, serving a multicultural population of adults and families. We offer a full array of crisis services including; Mobile Crisis Team services, consultations to the Medical ED and Follow up Crisis Services for discharged CPEP patients. Oversight will include: recruitment, training, supervision and evaluation of staff, participation in BH committees including Quality Assurance, Incident Review and Residency Training.
Candidates must have a MD/DO degree and be Board Certified with a valid New York State License, DEA and Medicaid number. Qualified candidates should have strong clinical abilities, teaching experience, communication and interpersonal skills. Prior management/leadership positions and experience with academic medical center and/or public health systems is preferred.

H H Queens/Mt. Sinai is also proud to begin a new Psychiatry Residency Program launching July 2025. The CPEP Director will join this leadership team and play an important role in resident education.

Salary : $250,000 - $280,000
