Description

The Administrative Manager plans, directs and oversees all administrative operations, human resources, and/or clinical services. This position may oversee facilities planning, maintenance and custodial operations as well as responsibility of grants and contracts and capital budget.


Responsibilities
  • Analyzes internal processes and plans or implements procedural and policy changes to improve operations
  • Analyzes operational, financial, and clinical data to monitor performance and identify issues and lead implementation of resolutions 
  • Develops business plans for new research and clinical faculty and programs
  • Assist in strategic long-term planning, including operational, quality, educational, research, financial, and reputational goals. Develop multi-factor strategies for expansion of divisional programs.
  • Assists in the planning of budgetary needs by analyzing short and long-term program plans.      Collaborates with department leadership to assure the completion of the annual budget.
  • Leads budget variance analysis to identify performance issues and drivers, and assists in development and execution of remediation tactics
  • Leads creation of quarterly financial statements for the Respiratory Institute, combining numerous Hospital and School revenues/expenses
  • Organize administrative matters of Division, including, for example:
    • Reporting of teaching effort for faculty
    • OPPE files
    • Faculty recruitment
    • Staff recruitment
  • Interprets and administers personnel policies such as hiring, performance appraisals, training, staff disciplinary activity and salary recommendations.  Ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations regarding equal pay and equal employment
  • Facilitates creation of training programs. Conducts training for staff to carry out departmental programs and services
  • Facilitates implements quality assurance programs to meet standards and regulations of federal, state and city accrediting agencies
  • Leads complex projects consisting of teams with multiple stakeholders across Mount Sinai, including research programs and new clinical initiatives
  • Performs other related duties

Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in business or public administration or related field, Masters preferred
  • 7 years experience in an administrative or management capacity

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $78884 - $130000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
