Role & Responsibilities:

  • Duties may include based on candidates experience: Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation
  • Assist in procedures, quality control, enter results into LIS, follow Lab policy and procedures.  Read manual differentials, Knowledge of automated equipment. Knowledge chemistry and hematology and instrumentation.  
  • Must perform maintenance and troubleshooting procedures as required.  
  • Performs Quality control and maintenance procedures as required. 
  • Must be proficient in manual differentials and body fluid cell counts, and urine microscopy.
  • Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation
  • Performs Quality control and maintenance procedures as required by the department.  Performs manual differentials, normal and abnormal, cell counts, coagulation procedures, Urinalysis
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Department Manager

 

Requirements:

  • NYS Licensed Medical Technologist, BS degree required in Science. ASCP preferred – Experience preferred.
  • Proficient in manual differentials and body fluid cell count.
  • Computer literate, Excellent communication skills

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $48.7356 - $60.5141 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
