Description

The Department of Emergency Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and NYC Health Hospitals Queens Center is seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians. We are seeking energetic, highly motivated, and talented candidates to join our Queens ED team.

NYC Health Hospitals Queens Center is a 318-bed acute care facility and part of the largest municipal healthcare system in the country. It is a modern medical center with Centers of Excellence in Women’s Health, Cancer Care, Diabetes Care, and Behavioral Health and serves the most culturally diverse population in the world with a wide spectrum of medical conditions. New York City Health Hospitals|Queens averages 16,000 admissions per year, 100,000 Emergency Department visits and over 300,000 outpatient visits. We are currently in the process of expanding and constructing a state-of-the-art Emergency Department.

Successful candidates must be board certified/eligible by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and licensed in the State of New York. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in Clinical Education, EM Critical Care, Emergency Ultrasound and Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Faculty appointment will be commensurate with years of experience and accomplishment. Compensation is competitive and proportionate with qualifications and excellent fringe benefits. We are committed to practicing patient-centered emergency care and furthering our specialty through training.

Qualifications
  • Medical Degree from an Accredited University    
  • Current New York Medical License 
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
  • Clinical experience preferred
  • Excellent communication, bedside manner and organizational skills
  • A strong work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented, performance driven Health System

 Compensation range from 250K to 260K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range. The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits.
