Sterile Processing Technician-Per Diem-MSQ

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Processes and oversees all contaminated instruments, returned to Sterile Processing.
• Uses knowledge of tray assembly and sterilization principles to correctly prepare items for sterilization.
• Properly loads, operates and cleans steam sterilizer and sterrad system and all general equipment, using biological and chemical control tests as required by the department and Joint Commission standards.
• Maintains appropriate sterilization testing on a routine basis and documents results as required.
• Works closely with the Director and Lead Technician and assist with the orientation for new personnel.

Requirements:

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum one-year experience as Sterile Processing Technician must have CRCST certification from IAHCSMM and keep it in good standing each year.

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $26.9992 - $29.2899 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
