Position Responsibilities :
- Picks up mail from all areas.
- Sorts and opens all mail.
- Distribute all personally addressed and non-patient related mail.
- I.D. scan an index all patient mail.
- Separates payments received by mail into batches daily.
- Makes copies of all batches and prepare tapes totaling payments for daily deposits.
- Attaches copies of the original checks to corresponding back-ups and run tapes for posting insuring checks and back ups are accurately matched daily.
- Endorses all checks prior to depositing.
- Runs copies of deposits through the microfiche machine ensuring checks are filmed daily.
- Identifies the account numbers, for those listed as "no account number" on checks listing daily.
- Researches discrepancies on deposits as needed.
- Supports team leader / Head Cashier processing all up front deposits daily.
- Provides copies of checks received for departments other than the Business Office as per agreement with those specific departments or upon daily request.
- Maintains a neat and clean working area.
