Compensation
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $24.9557 - $27.1565 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
Job Description
Ward Clerk-Nursing Administration-Per Diem-Evening-Mount Sinai Queens
Provides the professional, courteous, time efficient, patient centered and accurate clerical support required to facilitate patient care.
Responsibilities
- Processes admissions in a accurately and timely fashion
- Distributes admission plates promptly
- Responds to and handles all patients inquires politely and efficiently
- Processes downtime charts
- Separates charts and monitors chart completion
- Addresses appropriate ED Attending if chart is incomplete
- Prepares charts for coding, processing and scanning
- Files loose charts
- Stocks all clinical and related forms in the ED
- Cleans work area before leaving station
- Gives work status report to incoming staff
- Ensures coverage or notifies supervisor for and unexpected absence
- Attempts to fix equipment, if unable reports and logs all equipment failures
- Education: Minimum high school diploma, or equivalent experience. Bachelor?s degree preferred.
