Compensation

The Anesthesia Aide provides support and assistance to the Department of Anesthesia and staff in the operative/invasive setting throughout the organization.
Some of the job duties include stocking operating rooms with appropriate anesthesia supplies, maintaining anesthesia equipment, understanding which equipment and materials are needed for specific cases, stocking anesthesia medications, ordering anesthesia supplies, and managing anesthesia inventory.
Education Required
- Must complete in-house orientation program
- High school graduation or equivalent required.

Working Conditions
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn
- Exposure to high steam pressure.
- Exposure to radiologic environment.
- Potential for cuts, bruises, muscle strain and exposure to contagious diseases via blood and body fluids. Potential for exposure to anesthetic waste gases and harsh disinfectants.
- Frequent prolonged standing/walking and pushing and lifting equipment. Protective clothing work: face shields, gloves, impermeable gowns, and particulate respirator as necessary. Must wear hospital provided scrub attire while on duty. Must work in air conditioned environment.
