The Central Processing Clerk is responsible for ensuring proper specimen identification, receipt of laboratory specimens and distribution of the specimens to the appropriate department.
Education Required
- Must complete in-house orientation program
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Experience And Skills
- Speaks, reads and writes English
- No experience necessary but must train under the direction of the Supervisor or experienced computer clerk.
License/Certifications
Working Conditions
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn
- May sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Exposure to biohazardous materials.
