The Emergency Department (ED) Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) has specific responsibilities to provide care to all patients in the ED. Job duties are carried out in collaboration with, and at the direction of the ED RN and LIP.
Education Required
- Must complete in-house orientation program
- High School Diploma
Experience And Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Speaks, reads and writes English
License/Certifications
- Current certification as Paramedic or EMT-CC
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
Working Conditions
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn
- Frequent, prolonged standing/walking.
- Transfer of patients from bed to chair/chair to stretcher etc.
