Compensation

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The Nurse Practitioner assumes full responsibility for the care provided to patients by appropriately coordinating hospital resources and personnel. This includes Case Management, Social Work, Home Care, Nursing and Ancillary Services to facilitate patient throughput in a timely fashion. Consideration is given to the patient’s stage of development according to the life cycle. The Nurse Practitioner is cognizant of the mission, vision an values of Mount Sinai South Nassau.
Education Required
- Must complete in-house orientation program
- Master’s Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
Experience And Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Speaks, reads and writes English
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a RN.
- Demonstrates competency as a Nurse Practitioner.
License/Certifications
- Registered Professional Nurse and Nurse Practitioner
- BLS
- ACLS
Working Conditions

- Frequent, prolonged standing/walking.
