The Operating Room Inventory/Systems Assistant is responsible for assisting OR Systems Coordinator in the planning, implementation and daily management of the Operating Room MIS functions, statistical reports, supply entry and preference card accuracy for Peri-Operative Services. Responsible for the review of case usage and posting of charges on cases performed. Responsible for assisting OR Inventory Manager in inventory management, bill only, special requests, management and sourcing of implants and consignment inventory.
Education Required
- Must complete in-house orientation program
- A High School diploma or equivalent required
Experience And Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Speaks, reads and writes English
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent phone and customer service skills
- Computer and typing skills
- Advanced knowledge of surgical/medical terminology
- Basic knowledge of medical finance and billing
- 5 years of proven competency utilizing a surgical scheduling system, post-op data/case usage, charges, preference card manager and schedule reports.
- Must be proficient with One Medical Passport application, Surgical Sunrise, & Lawson
License/Certifications
