Compensation
Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
The Officer will monitor access control including identifying visitors, vendors, morgue, deliveries as well as check employee identification. The Officer will also be required to perform other security related assignments as needed at the discretion of the Director of Security or his designee. To represent the hospital in a courteous, helpful, patient manner in all instances when dealing with hospital personnel, patients, medical staff and visitors.
Education Required
- Must complete in-house orientation program
- High school diploma or Equivalent.
- Completes Code Gray training
Experience And Skills
- Speaks, reads and writes English
- Law enforcement background preferred or security background required.
License/Certifications
- NYS Security Guard License or an active Police or Peace officer retired less than 10 years as per the NYS General Business Law Article 7-A-(89-E – 89W).
- NYS Driver's License strongly preferred
- Code of Conduct
Working Conditions
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
- Climb multiple sets of stairs.
- Be physically effective as a team member of the code gray team, Code “Pink” and all other Hospital related responses.
