Job Description
Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Specialty : Telemetry
Job Duration : 13 weeks
Shift : Night Shift 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM, every other weekend required
Guaranteed Hours : 34.5 hours per week
Experience : Minimum 2 years of RN experience, including 2 years in telemetry and critical care. Travel experience is highly preferred but not required for per diem positions.
License : Active RN License
Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Must-Have : Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing considered with relevant experience and / or active enrollment in a BSN program. EPIC experience is highly preferred.
Job Description :
- Deliver patient care by incorporating the principles of Relationship Centered Care and utilizing the nursing process based on theory, research, and evidence-based practice.
- Assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking in the management of patient care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams in developing, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans.
- Prioritize all aspects of patient care including education, rounding, coaching, planning after discharge, and appropriate delegation.
- Educate patients and their caregivers on care plans, health promotion, and disease prevention.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Manage assignments within the Modified Primary Nursing Care Delivery Model, using resources efficiently.
- Model the principles of Relationship Centered Care through actions such as Admission Welcome, Bedside Shift Report, and Purposeful Hourly Rounding.
- Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to understand patients' perceptions of care and initiate service recovery when necessary.
- Engage in quality and safety practices to ensure patient-centered care.
- Implement process improvement strategies and participate in peer and institutional review processes.
- Perform charge nurse duties as assigned and coordinate with nursing management for resource allocations.
- Document nursing practice accurately in compliance with hospital, regulatory, and legal standards.
- Contribute to professional development, advancing clinical competence, and supporting clinical colleagues, patients, and families.
- Participate in shared decision-making processes through unit initiatives and nursing department committees.
