Mount Sopris Instrument Company is a leading manufacturer of borehole geophysical logging systems for groundwater, mining, geotechnical and other applications. For over 65 years, Mount Sopris has delivered innovative solutions to drillers, miners, engineers and researchers in over 120 countries around the world.
We are seeking an Assembly Technician to help manufacture our full line of geophysical winches, tools and accessories. Mount Sopris is a small company of about 25 people which means we can be more flexible than a large corporate structure and there will always be opportunities to learn and advance your skills. This position is Monday through Friday with a 40-hour work week, no weekends or mandatory overtime.
Your Responsibilities:
- Read and execute visual work instructions with minimal oversight.
- Assemble electronic and mechanical components into complete products.
- Soldering wires from and to printed circuit boards uses wiring diagrams.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and directions.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks each workday and maintain a positive attitude.
Required Skills and job duties:
- Ability to utilize small hand tools.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new skills.
- Maintain clean and organized production workstations.
- Experience with wiring harnesses is helpful.
- Be able to work flexibly in different areas.
- Ability to produce quality products consistently.

- Base Rate: $21.00/hr
- Benefits: $4.94/hr
- Vacation (first year): $1.76/hr
- 401K match (3% at 100% & 2% at 50%): $0.84/hr
- Effective Hourly Rate (less profit sharing): $28.54/hr
