Job Summary
The Ticket and Pass Scanner plays a vital role in providing exceptional guest experiences by ensuring seamless access to our ski facilities. You will be responsible for efficiently scanning and validating tickets and passes. This role requires excellent customer service skills and attention to detail, while working directly with mountain operations to streamline lift line processes.
Job Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a welcoming demeanor and verify the validity of tickets, passes, or RFID cards.
- Scan and validate tickets using electronic ticketing systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide guests with information on ticketing options, prices, and ski area amenities as needed.
- Assist guests with questions or concerns regarding their tickets or passes.
- Maintain organized and efficient lines at ticket scanning stations to minimize wait times for guests.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding any issues related to line management.
- Address minor technical issues with ticket scanning equipment and promptly report any significant malfunctions to the appropriate department.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe environment for our guests and colleagues.
- Work closely with other staff members, including lift operators and guest services, to coordinate ticketing processes effectively.
- Keep ticket scanning equipment and surrounding areas clean and organized.
- Report any maintenance or cleanliness issues to the appropriate department.
- Complete end of shift audits as required
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to accurately scan tickets and passes.
- Basic technical aptitude for operating ticket scanning equipment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, to lift 25lbs, and perform repetitive motions (e.g., scanning tickets).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment in varying weather conditions.
- Comfortable working outdoors in winter conditions, including exposure to cold temperatures and snow.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays
- Ability to maintain a professional presence in the workplace and to adhere to our appearance standards
