The School of Arts & Sciences at Mount St. Joseph University invites applications for a full-time (nine-month), tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Biology position, beginning August 2025. The successful candidate will teach in our undergraduate Biology and Biomedical Sciences programs and graduate Physician Assistant program. Primary responsibilities include teaching courses in undergraduate anatomy and physiology, graduate-level medical physiology, and/or gross anatomy. Some summer teaching is possible as well as courses in general biology and courses in the candidate’s specialization. Other duties include advising, mentoring undergraduate research, and supporting departmental, school, and university needs.
Responsibilities Include
The successful candidate will minimally hold a doctorate in biology, anatomy, physiology, or related fields (ABD candidates are welcome to apply). Preference will be given to candidates with a proven undergraduate and/or graduate teaching record, evidence of human cadaver dissection experience, and a clear research agenda that incorporates undergraduate researchers.
