Server Requirements:
- Serve our guests any alcohol in accordance with all laws and regulations
- Must be 18 to be able to legally serve alcohol
- TIPS or Safe Serve certification is a plus
- Use strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Complete all opening and closing side work while keeping a clean work area during your shift
- Be proficient at taking accurate orders at a fast pace while still providing quality service
- Be a team player and work well with others
- Experience with learning new POS systems is a plus
- Serving experience is a plus but not required (will train).
- Basic math skills for cash handling and proper tipping
Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly upon arrival, ensuring they feel welcomed.
- Present menus and provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently using a cash register or point-of-sale system.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Serve food and drinks in a timely manner while ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards.
- Check on guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
- Process payments accurately, handle cash transactions, and maintain proper cash register procedures.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of orders and communicate any special requests or dietary restrictions.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Adhere to all food handling safety regulations and restaurant policies.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or culinary roles is preferred but not required; we are willing to train motivated individuals.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a positive dining atmosphere.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and processing payments accurately.
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy shifts.
- Familiarity with food handling procedures is a plus; knowledge of health regulations is beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
