About the Role:
As a Medication Technician at Mount View Assisted Living, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by accurately administering medications and monitoring their effects. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare and dispense medications in accordance with physician orders and facility policies, while maintaining a safe and clean environment. You will also be responsible for documenting medication administration and any observed changes in residents' conditions, which is vital for their ongoing care. In addition to medication management, you will provide compassionate support to residents, fostering a nurturing atmosphere that promotes their dignity and independence. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification as a Medication Technician or similar role.
- Experience in assisted living or long-term care settings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with elderly populations.
- Basic First Aid Certification.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications to residents as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor residents for any side effects or adverse reactions to medications.
- Maintain accurate records of medication administration and resident observations.
- Assist with daily living activities and provide emotional support to residents.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety regulations.
