Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of acute and chronic illnesses. The FNP will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient-centered care in a supportive environment.
Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments for patients.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions, utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Develop individualized care plans that address patients' health needs.
- Perform necessary procedures and interventions, including ventilating patients when required.
- Prescribe medications and manage psychopharmacology as needed.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and families regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with medical office protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Stay informed about advancements in hospital medicine, critical care, medical-surgical practices, and pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) protocols.
Experience
- A Master’s degree in Nursing with a focus on Family Nurse Practitioner studies is required.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred; experience in hospital medicine or critical care is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, and medical-surgical practices is essential.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Demonstrated proficiency in performing clinical assessments and interventions.
