Accounting Clerk
POSITION PURPOSE:
The purpose of the Accounting Clerk is to support the accounting staff in basic accounting & administrative tasks, including data entry, reconciliations, and other accounting assistance. This position will report directly to the Accounting Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
- Data entry of prepared accounts payable batches
- Assemble & reconcile supporting documentation for corporate card accounts
- Assist with expense reports processing throughout month
- Coordinates with Travel Booking Specialist, Accounts Payable, and Expense Reporting Specialist to research and resolve any errors or missing documentation.
- Assistance with fuel ticket administration
- Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices.
- Provide assistance and support to company personnel
- Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
- Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
- Files, maintains, and distributes accounting documents, records, and reports.
- Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
- Constantly update job knowledge
- Performs other duties as required to support Accounting Department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-4 years Accounts Payable or General Accounting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office products.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Possesses strong organizational skills; must be detail oriented.
- Open to change and willing to learn new skills. Positive attitude.
- Must have the ability to interact with all levels of management within the company and with vendors and customers.
